Buying & storing:
Ripe custard apples have pale green skin and yield to gentle pressure. Ripen darker green fruit at room temperature. Once ripe, store in the fridge and eat within two days.
Preparation:
Cut the custard apple in half or pull apart with your hands. Use a spoon to scoop out the flesh to eat.
Cooking:
Cooking Tips: Scoop out the flesh and mix with any of the following: cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon, orange, honey and vanilla. A delicious food for toddlers.
