Chicken Korma

Chicken Korma is really healthy traditional cooking recipe. It is very easy to prepare and gives you unique taste of Beef & Mutton Recipes

Ingredients :

1 whole Chicken (cleaned) 
2 tsps poppy-seeds 
10 blanched Almonds 
2 piece dry Coconut 
1 tblsp Coriander seeds 
4 Cloves 
2 large Cardamoms 
1` piece Cinnamon stick 
1 tsp Cumin seeds 
a large pinch each of Nutmeg and mace 
6 flakes Garlic 
2 piece Ginger 
2 cups curd (beaten) 
1 tsp Turmeric powder 
Salt and Chilli powder to taste 
1/2 cup Ghee 
3 large Onions (minced) 
8 Green chillies (minced) 
1/4 cup thick Coconut Milk 
50 grams Cashewnuts (fried 1 handful Coriander leaves (chopped)

 Method:

Disjoint the chicken. Grind the poppy-seeds, almonds and coconut to a paste. Powder all the spices together. Also grind the garlic and ginger to a paste. Mix the ginger paste into the curd, along with the turmeric, salt and chilli powder. Mix into the chicken and set aside for 2 hours. Heat the ghee and fry the onions and coconut paste till golden-brown. Add the chicken, along with the curd mixture, green chillies, and all the spices (powdered together). Cover tight and cook till the chicken is almost tender. Now add the coconut milk,and continue cooking till the gravy turns dry. Remove from fire, garnish with fried cashewnuts and fresh coriander leaves
