Shab Daig

                                                                                                   Serves :4-6

Sapid recipe of shab daig will be hit if you make it by this recipe. Meat, mince balls, turnip, carrot are main ingredients of this dish. Make this for lunch menu on sunday and don't forget to send it to your neighbours.

 Ingredients:


  Mutton                                  1kg
  White turnip,beef mince   1/2kg each
  Carrots,lemons,tomatoes,
  onions (finely cut)                  3 each 
 Green chillies fresh coriander   
  (finely cut)  1/2 cup  altogether 
  Turmeric powder                       1 tsp
  Cumin powder,sugar                          1 tsp each
  Chickpeas (roasted and powdered)       1tbsp
   Red chilli powder                           1tbsp
   Hot spices powder                           2 tsp
  Coriander powder ,garlic/ginger paste    2 tbspeach 
   Hot water                                          3 cups 
   Salt                                                    to taste 
   Yogurt, oil                                     1 cup each 


         Method:


  • Cut turnips and carrots in to thick pieces.
  • Cook mutton with oil, onins, turmeric, red chillies, coriander ,garlic/ginger and 1 cup water in a pot till tender.
  • Add yogurt,suger and tomatoes, fry thoroudhly.
  • Mix chickpeas, cumin and 1/2 hot spices  in mince,grind and shape  in to balls.
  • Heat oil in a wok and meatballs golden,remove
  • Fry carrots  and turnips in the same oil .remove 
  • Add meat ball,  carrots,turnips and remaining water to pot and keep on dum.
  • When oil separates add coriander and chillies, and remaining hot spices.
  • Squeeze lemon juice on top and serve.
